Virtual reality and character education curriculum
RYTE Institute, Montclair State University | 2025–present
I collaborate with a curriculum team developing learning experiences that connect virtual reality with character education, including foundational character and aging modules. My contributions include pathway-model development, evidence mapping, and the development and review of lesson plans and instructional materials. This work makes the connections between intended outcomes, learning activities, and supporting research explicit.
Faculty professional learning at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota
April 2026
I designed and facilitated faculty professional learning for the Expanding Undergraduate Access and Recognizing Character project. The engagement combined a full-day faculty workshop with consultation sessions for project leaders. Faculty practiced pathway modeling to examine course design, character outcomes, and alignment with curricular requirements. Preparatory work, workshop resources, and leadership consultation supported application beyond the faculty session.
Critical Connections at Salem College
March 2026
I designed and facilitated a two-day workshop for approximately 14 representatives from six women’s colleges participating in Critical Connections: Gender, Leadership, Ethics, and Character. Participants learned pathway modeling while developing a shared understanding of the convening’s work. Activities connected model building with reflection, reciprocal support, and shared work planning. I prepared the workshop materials, drawing in part on pathway-modeling resources co-developed with two colleagues.

2018: Cornell Cooperative Extension, Transportation Voucher Program - Evaluation planning and capacity building for a community health program
2016-2018: Cornell Cooperative Extension, Harvest New York - This partnership involved 7 programs from across New York State, focused on developing the quality and viability of food and beverage-focused agriculture.
2015-2018: PACE Project - funded by the John Templeton Foundation - focused on youth character virtue development programs and included a training component for evaluation professionals.
2014-2017: Catholic Relief Services - In partnership with Guy Sharrock at Catholic Relief Services, focused on developing an evaluative thinking curriculum for all CRS staff and partners. This curriculum was developed and piloted in partnership with community heath and resilience projects in Ethiopia, Malawi and Zambia.
